WHY WE LOVE CASHMERE
There are so many reasons to love cashmere, (even more to love recycled cashmere), here just a few of them...
COSY
Cashmere is eight, (yes, EIGHT!), times warmer than wool so will keep you snuggy even in the chilliest of weather.
HYPOALLERGENIC
The super-soft texture of cashmere is gentle on your skin and, being hypoallergenic, causes less irritability than wool.
BREATHABLE
Cashmere's natural fibres allow air to flow, keeping you cosy in the cold but cool in the heat.
LIGHTWEIGHT
The delicate and fine cashmere fibres are feather-light making it incredibly easy to wear.
caring for your cashmere
Cashmere is a delicate material that requires a little love to keep it at it's best, but don't panic, there are some simple steps to keep your cashmere looking and feeling great for many years.
WASHING
You can either hand wash in cold water or machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle, whichever you prefer. We suggest using a mild non-bio washing detergent or one specially created for wool. Most importantly, avoid adding fabric conditioner as this can alter the feel cashmere. Dry your cashmere flat.
STORING
If you've ever owned a cashmere garment, you'll probably know that moths are cashmere's arch enemy. To avoid the little blighters nibbling holes in your wool we suggest that cashmere is stored in an air-tight container during extended periods not in use and moth repelent used to deter any unwanted visitors. If you are concerned you moths might have reached your cashmere, then popping your item in the freezer for 48hrs can help erradicate the issue.
EVERYDAY CARE
The long fibres of cashmere wool do have a tendency to bobble. We suggest gently removing the bobbles as they appear by gently plucking them off by hand.
